TIP #2 – LET KIDS HELP WITH COOKING
The holiday break is almost here. Throughout the month of December, I will share tips on how to keep your child engaged with fun literacy activities. Even though they may be too young to operate the stove, there are still plenty of ways to get your child involved. They can read the recipe, assist with food preparation, help measure the ingredients, keep track of the time and, of course, enjoy the meal together. For an added bonus, encourage your child to write about the experience in their journal. Be sure to have fun and enjoy these precious moments.
