On a Saturday in Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Convention Center buzzed with energy, ideas, and a love for literature as authors and readers gathered for the Indie Author Book Fair, sponsored by LiteracyNation Inc. Among the talented voices present, KP Carter, a lifelong educator, author, and founder of Rockstar Reader University®, took the stage to inspire parents, educators, and literacy advocates with her talk, “A Rockstar Framework for Back-to-School Success.”
During the Speaker Session, KP shared actionable strategies to help students step into the school year with confidence, focus, and a love for learning. Drawing from her extensive background in literacy coaching and educational consulting, she emphasized how small, intentional habits at home can have a significant impact in the classroom. Her message resonated with attendees eager to support students and children in achieving academic success while building a lifelong love for reading.
Beyond the stage, KP Carter’s display table drew in parents, teachers, and fellow authors curious about her books, resources, and Rockstar Reader University® platform. Visitors explored her work, learned about her programs, and left with tools designed to nurture reading comprehension, reduce test anxiety, and make learning engaging for all children.
The event also provided an opportunity for KP to connect with other inspiring authors, exchanging ideas and forging new relationships that will help amplify the message of literacy and educational empowerment. The day was filled with meaningful conversations, shared stories, and a sense of community united by the belief that every child can be a “Rockstar Reader.”
Attending the Indie Author Book Fair wasn’t just about showcasing books; it was about sparking change, inspiring families, and reminding us all that literacy is the foundation for lifelong success.
